Eleanor Kinmont
1840 – 1910
In 1877, Eleanor Kinmont, daughter of Mary Eckstein Kinmont and niece of Eleanor Eckstein, founded a Village institution known as The Glendale Monday Class.
The purpose of the club, which continues to this day, was the intellectual improvement and recreation of women.
Under Eleanor’s leadership, the group dedicated itself to the study of a single subject for an entire year.
