House Plaques

Glendale Heritage Preservation provides plaques for houses in the village that were built over 100 years ago. An Historic District plaque commemorates houses built in 1901 or before, and are within the Historic District. A star attached to an Historic District plaque recognizes the building as one of the 59 “pivotal” structures used to achieve the National Historic Landmark District designation for the village. All non-pivotal historic district structures are known as “contributing” buildings. A Centennial House plaque recognizes houses built in the village at least 100 years ago. Centennial houses are not restricted to the Historic District.

To request a plaque please fill out a request form and submit it to Glendale Heritage Preservation. You can access the request form by clicking on this link: Plaque Request Form. Print it out and fill in the details. Mail it to Glendale Heritage Preservation at 44 Village Square, Glendale, OH 45246 along with a check for $50 made out to Glendale Heritage Preservation.
